Push Me App – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Push Me App ("the App") by Yevhenii Puhachov ("we", "us", "our") handles your data.

The App is published from the European Union and is distributed via Apple's App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

1. Data we collect

We do not collect or require:

  • user accounts, logins, emails, nicknames or avatars;
  • contact details (name, phone number, postal address);
  • location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or other device permissions;
  • analytics, advertising identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or GAID on Android), or any tracking information;
  • crash reports or usage analytics via third‑party services.

The App works fully offline and does not communicate with any server that we control.

1.1 Workout statistics (stored on device)

The App stores:

  • number of push‑ups per day and date;
  • daily, weekly and monthly goals.

These data are stored locally on your device.

We treat this information as exercise statistics for self‑tracking, not as medical or diagnostic data. The App is not intended for medical use and does not provide medical advice.

2. How and why data is used

We use your data only to:

  • show your push‑up history, streaks, daily record and totals;
  • display and track your daily, weekly and monthly goals;
  • calculate and display your progress inside the App.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties.

We do not send workout data to any server that we operate. Apart from the optional cases below, data stays on your device:

  • on Android, when you use Export CSV in Settings, you choose where the file is saved;
  • on Android, if system backup or device transfer is enabled, Google may store encrypted copies of App data—we do not receive this data.

3. Storage and sync

  • On iOS: workout entries are stored locally as a JSON file in the App’s documents (or application support) directory. Goals and UI preferences are stored in UserDefaults.
  • On Android: workout entries are stored locally as pushUps.json in the App’s internal storage. Goals and UI preferences are stored with DataStore Preferences.

We do not operate any backend.

4. Data retention and deletion

Data are stored until you delete them. You can:

  • reset statistics inside the App – the "Reset statistics" function deletes workout data stored on the device;
  • delete the App – uninstalling removes the App’s local data from your device (on iOS and Android).

On Android, you can also export or import statistics as a CSV file from Settings (you control the file).

5. Legal basis (GDPR) and CCPA

For users in the EU / EEA (GDPR):

  • The processing of data is based on your consent (you voluntarily enter and store your data in the App) and on our legitimate interest in providing you with workout tracking functionality.
  • You can withdraw from processing at any time by deleting your data (reset statistics) and/or uninstalling the App.

For users in California (CCPA):

  • We do not sell personal information and do not share it with third parties in the sense of a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA.
  • Because there is no profiling or advertising, your "Do Not Sell or Share" rights are implemented by default.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access – you can see all of your data directly in the App's interface; on Android you can also export statistics as a CSV file.
  • Rectification – you can edit entries (for example, change the number of push‑ups for a particular day).
  • Deletion – you can reset statistics in the App and/or uninstall the App.
  • Restriction – you can stop using the App at any time by deleting your data and uninstalling it.

Because we do not operate a backend or user accounts, most data is under your control on your device. On Android, CSV export is available directly in the App.

7. Children

Push Me App is not specifically directed at children and is intended for a general audience (for example, users aged 13+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Because the App does not use accounts or our own servers, all data that are entered remain on the device.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available together with the App (for example, via a link on our website or in the App description).

The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
